My web link for my website in the previous post has a type in it. Too excited, I guess....

This post really sparks an interesting topic for education. Co-working environments. I posted a blurb about this on my blog - http://techxas.edublogs.org. I think I may have hit a nerve of my colleagues by saying that we don’t call our classrooms “Co-working” areas.

I think this Co-working environment you all have developed is a very interesting and creative method for working independently but still able to work collaboratively.

Very cool!

I'll most likely start charting my progress too. Good idea! I'm glad we're doing this. I'm interested in how I do since I'm definitely more of a designer than a front-end developer.

I think this was the biggest insight for me about Rails from the ALA article:

<blockquote>Rails code looks almost like markup, and it is tempting to think of it as such, but you need to make the shift to thinking of your site as a program that emits web pages, rather than as a set of files that are web pages.</blockquote>

Looks like we missed an Austin on Rails meeting tonight (http://austinonrails.org), but the bootcamp is in mid May from what Edward Cruz said. Can't wait!
